1. What cookies and tracking tools are
Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the user send to and store on the device (computer, tablet, smartphone) used for browsing, so that they can be sent back to the same websites on the next visit. While browsing, the user may also receive on their device cookies or tags set by websites other than the one being visited (so-called “third parties”), used for the purposes and in the manner defined by those parties.
Other tools (e.g. tracking pixels, tags, local storage) perform functions similar to cookies and are subject to the same rules.
2. Types of cookies used by the Website
a) Technical cookies
These are cookies necessary for the proper functioning of the Website or strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. They do not require the user’s prior consent pursuant to Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.
The Website uses the following technical cookies and similar tools, all of them first-party:
- adempire_cookie_consent: stores the choices made by the user through the cookie banner and the preferences panel; duration 6 months;
- adempire_locale: stores the browsing language chosen by the user; duration 12 months;
- adempire_segment: stores the path chosen by the user on the welcome page (Companies or Healthcare); duration 12 months;
- locale (browser local storage): stores the browsing language chosen by the user; it remains until the user deletes their browsing data.
b) Analytics cookies
Used to collect information on the number of users and on how they visit the Website. In this case (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity), according to the approach of the Italian Data Protection Authority, these cookies are comparable to non-technical cookies, as they allow the direct or indirect identification of the user and/or the profiling of their browsing, also across several websites/devices; the user’s prior consent is therefore required.
c) Profiling / marketing cookies
Used to track the user’s browsing and build profiles of their interests and behaviour, in order to deliver targeted advertising messages and measure their effectiveness (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag). They require the user’s prior consent.
3. How consent is obtained
On the first visit to the Website, a banner informs the user that technical cookies and, subject to consent, analytics and marketing cookies are used, with a link to this Cookie Policy. The banner is developed and managed directly by the Controller, without relying on third-party platforms, and allows the user to:
- accept all non-technical cookies with the “Accept all” button;
- reject all non-technical cookies with the “Reject all” button, which has the same graphic prominence as the accept button;
- choose individually which categories to enable (statistics, marketing) with the “Customise” button;
- close the banner with the “X”, continuing to browse with technical cookies only and without giving any consent to non-technical cookies.
The user’s choice is stored in the technical cookie adempire_cookie_consent for 6 months; after that period, or in the event of substantial changes to the tools used, the banner is shown again. The preferences panel can be accessed at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page of the Website.
Technical cookies are installed from the first visit to the Website; analytics, profiling and marketing cookies are enabled only after the user has given consent and are disabled if consent is refused or subsequently withdrawn.

The third-party cookies listed in the table above are managed by entities that also process data in the United States of America. For such transfers, please refer to section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
6. How to manage cookie preferences
The user may change or withdraw their consent to the installation of non-technical cookies at any time by opening the cookie preferences panel through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page of the Website.
Alternatively, the user may manage their preferences directly through their browser settings, bearing in mind that disabling cookies through the browser may not be fully effective for cookies already installed and does not always allow preferences to be managed for each individual purpose.
For third-party advertising profiling cookies, the user may also manage their preferences directly through the preference centres made available by:
- Google: myadcenter.google.com
- Meta: facebook.com/adpreferences
- LinkedIn: account settings, “Advertising data” section
